[STREETSTYLE] Seoul Fashion Week SS18 Wednesday / day 3
It’s that time again in the fashion calendar when the Fashion People descend upon the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) for 5/6 days of stylish antics. It’s one of my favourite times of the year (if you hadn’t guessed already), because the streetstyle here genuinely excites me, and it’s fun to make new friends.
Sadly, my season this year consists of two days (Wednesday 18th and Saturday 21st), but it’s the first season where I’ve actually been invited to attend shows off my own back rather than just knowing someone who knows someone. Also, as much as I’d like to do what I did last season, where I somehow managed to get into Seoul every morning, it just wasn’t feasible this week. Yay being super tired.
As you all know, my main aim during Fashion Weeks is to capture streetstyle, so here you go, have some shots from Wednesday.

It’s something that conflicts me terrible – the kids are adorable, but I really don’t agree with them being paraded around the DDP and shoved into multiple outfits so they can grace the e-pages of major online publications, or draw massive crowds for photos. They looked happy enough here, though.
This was probably my all time favourite outfit from Wednesday. I love the exaggerated sleeves, the leather skirt with graffiti detailing worn over a white shirt and the lace edging. It’s such a perfect combination of trends from this AW season, as well as the bigger trends from this year. Also, that headpiece says no smoking on it. Fab.
My model snapping luck was way down versus other Fashion Week seasons I’ve been to, but I also think that having to be at shows seriously decreases the amount of time I have available to be snapping models either on their way to shows, or off duty. But, I’m super happy to be taking the new lens baby (canon 35mm f/2) out for a spin. It’s amazing seeing the difference between an actual glass lens and plastic lens. Still love the plastic fantastic nifty 50mm – kind of can’t wait to be able to upgrade it to the 50mm f/1.4.
Let me know what you think of the streetstyle this season. Which look is your favourite?

So many gorgeous outfits! (And I'm totally jealous of how much style that little girl with the scooter has. I need to learn her ways of posing). Meg – Elmpetra
