New. Years. Eve. I’m going absolutely nowhere this year, unless curled up on the sofa with mum and dad, and the prosecco we didn’t have at Christmas because we had surprise champers instead, counts. It totally counts. My sofa is very classy. But! If your plans are vastly more exciting than mine, then you might be in the market for a dress. Or an outfit. Possibly one that is reduced.
And since I enjoy procrastinating revision by online-sale-window-shopping, I have a handy lil’ dress edit for you. Or for me, but that’s a technicality. Featuring the dresses that will turn heads because they’re not your standard sparkly-sparkly totes predictable NYE party dresses. You can thank me later <3

sleeveless lace skater dress – cream £12.50 // maroon/teal £17.50 (all reduced from £25)
— high neck, cute flippy skater skirt, lace detailing to elevate it from day dress status (though you could totes rock this during the day)… the teal colourway is my favourite.
traffic people never ending story halter dress with pleated skirt – pink/white £38 (reduced from £67.38)
— sits on the collar bones, a really pretty angel-esque dress that’s a tad bit summery but has that lace pattern topskirt.
club L showstopper open back sequin maxi dress with fishtail – £40 (reduced from £80)
— channel your inner Jessica Rabbit with this slinky number. definitely suitable to steal any show with (aka perfect if you’re hosting your own swanky do. be the hostess with the mostess brilliant dress).
club L plus size dress in floral sequins – £30 (reduced from £75)
— one, this dress needs a much better name, stat. it’s beautiful and sequinny, and you’ll be such a glitterball if you pick this up. can’t see this looking bad with a winning smile and a bottle of bubbly on the big night. so basically it’s a winner.
praslin plus skater dress in brush stroke print – £25 (reduced from £45)
— be actual artwork! midi length and bardot shoulders were big hitters for this year, so rock them in style with this pretty brush stroke pattern and when people quip that you should be in a museum somewhere, laugh and say that you are a masterpiece.

glitter skater dress silver – £20 // multi – £15 (both reduced from £45)
— channel your inner scream queens Chanel with this cute little piece. in a beaut fit-and-flare style, and a cute racerback, you’ll be flouncing your way into fooling everyone your wardrobe is totes designer. my favourite colourway is the silver, but the multi is an absolute steal.
texture neoprene cut out skater dress – burgundy/khaki/ivory £15 (reduced from £30)
— keeping with the high circular necks, this dress comes in three colours and they’re all a pretty party piece. featuring cut-out detailing and the coveted a-line skirt of the year, you’ll definitely be turning heads. such on-pointness in one outfit.
faux leather strappy plunge skater dress – £16 (reduced from £32)
— go a little bit fiercer this year with a faux leather, or, if you can manage, real leather dress. grab some contrasting textures (fur, lace, chiffon), and make an edgy af statement with your outfit. it’s also another one that can see you from your daylight duties to your nighttime shenanigans if you’re short on time – add a high neck top and some boots when it’s light, swap for your (faux) fur and strappy heels once the sun sets. grab a glass of bubbly whenever, though.
plus size slinky wrap dress – rust £21 // black/khaki £20 (all reduced from £30)
— continue with super hot autumn/winter colour palettes through the holiday season for effortless cool points. the diagonal focus of this wrap dress is also super flattering, as it draws attention to beautiful hourglass figures, balancing out your hips and boobs quite nicely. not only that, but a luxe finish for extra sexiness means you’ll be a traffic stopper, tbh.
plus size fluffy dress black – £20 (reduced from £40)
— another one for the renaming list, but I guess there is practicality in stating the obvious. however, this dress screams strictly vibes at me. look at all that 1920’s flapper glam fringing. totes asking you to shimmy around any dancefloor. maybe not with a drink in hand, don’t want all that lovely detailing to end up all matted, but go wild after a few. this dress demands it, honestly.
plus size side split maxi dress rust – £18 (reduced from £45)
— wasn’t intending to feature two dresses with the same colour, but this style of dress is gorgeous for both daywear and party-wear. I wouldn’t style it with a fedora personally, but for that evening glam, a slick ponytail and some silver sparkles would look fab. the cape-style top is something that I love, and mixed with the plunge neckline balances out the top half without it looking stuffy or suffocating. plus you can show off your amazing pins with that side split. such a stunner.

THAT FISHTAIL MAXI DRESS THOUGH. So pretty! If only I was a few sizes smaller and few inches taller. My New Years Eve sounds pretty similar to be honest. Give me my sofa, any day of the week!Meg | A Little Twist Of…
