It’s been a couple of months – actually, it’s been nearly a year – since I have purchased a cushion compact. I’ve been testing out different combinations of base products to see which my skin got on best with, as well as trying to find the elusive colour-match for my skintone. It’s been a tough job, though I’m thankful none of the products I tried gave me any adverse reactions, just a few breakouts here and there. I also think that I’ve finally found the one base product that has completely stolen my heart.

As in, broken me for pretty much anything else.

In all honesty, I don’t know why I haven’t tried the Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control earlier. Well, I do – the price isn’t exactly anything to be sniffed at, especially if you are buying blind (no swatch ability), and when you add the markup of resellers on to that, or shipping, it becomes a little eye watering if it isn’t perfect. I’ve had it recommended to me, on good authority, multiple times by the BFF, and other k-beauty bloggers, but time and again I avoided parting with my cash. It’s a little bit silly, considering how much I love other Laneige products – the Lip Sleeping Mask is honestly the best hydrating lip balm-type product I have ever owned, it’s magic – but then again, I didn’t want to be disappointed by something that had been hyped so much to me.

BUT LET ME TELL YOU.
