Wow it’s been a long time since a wishlist. Or it feels that way, if you consider ‘long time’ only relevant as a marker if it’s been over a year. But with that ‘new season’ tingly feeling starting to thrum around the fashion world I thought I’d collect a few of the things I’ve been eyeing up recently into a coherent post.
It’s a bit of mix though, some summer things you can still snap up and hope september is more ‘summery’ than we’ve had throughout the whole of June, July and August, along with some bits and pieces that are definitely looking more towards Autumn and the colder months.

things I’m loving at the minute:
pleats!! I’m so glad that they’re carrying on into the autumn-winter season, since I haven’t found a pleated skirt that I’ve liked enough to get yet – as in, the narrow pleats, not tennis skirt pleats. The midi/maxi skirt from Chuu is one that I am seriously considering at the moment.
super long sleeves. Seen on the catwalks recently, the oversized sleeve is something that I’m definitely going to try and incorporate into my wardrobe. Nothing is quite as cozy as having sleeves that flop over your hands.
tailored pieces. I haven’t had a classic cut pair of shorts before. Or if I have I don’t remember. So I’m eyeing up a couple of pairs in varying colours, but rust is coming out on top (especially after that newlook top). Dress wise, I’m loving more vintage-feel prints and styles at the minute, especially those that appear very feminine and floaty.
the pointed toe. Not something I ever thought I’d come around to, if I’m being brutally honest, but I saw a pair of low- / mid- block-heeled with a dainty ankle strap and thought that I absolutely had to have them. Unfortunately the reviews for that pair were horrific (and they weren’t in my size) but the style is something I’ve been thinking about ever since. And making it into my saved items list ever since. Combining that with the embellished heel trend that I think is really going to make a mark next season and I think I’m onto a winner here.
muted tones. I’m very much a pastel gal as is, but there’s something I really like about muted blush and mauves. Like washed-out instagram themes, I’m drawn to them. The cross detail back crop from Chuu is already in my basket, and about as close as being on its way to me as it can right now. I love it. Mixed with the 2015 craze that was the high neck, point detail that’s business in the front, fun in the back, and that beautiful muted shade, I have an intense need.
As usual, there is always more I could include, but these are a few of the trends that I’m itching to include in my wardrobe (especially that retro-cut one piece) at the moment from some of my favourite brands.
Let me know which is your favourite item, and if there’s anything you’re absolutely lusting after at the moment, because I obviously need more things to be lusting after!
