I only managed to get to one day of LFW this SS17 season. Life, trains, why you do this to me? It wasn’t the busiest of days outside the Brewer St. Show Space for me, but I managed to catch a few shots of outfits that I really liked from the Fash Pack. I prefer the days when you can actually get some decent shoots rather than having to dodge traffic every three seconds.

It’s nice to see a move into more wearable streetstyle. I’m not against flashy outfits or the occasional woah, wow ok showstopper pieces, but we all know I adore the slick lines and feel of Seoul, interspersed with something that’s quirky but still workable. It feels like I’m growing up in my aesthetics and what I look for in outfits ahah.

In the outfits that really caught my eye this season, you can probably see a trend towards the basics and the normcore. In fashion there’s something really special about wearing basics so they look as fantastic as the entire Gucci runway season after season, rather than your throw-on pieces to do the food shop. Benji Colson really knocked it out of the park with his black boiler suit ensemble though, very glad I caught that photo opp.

The iridescent boarding they’ve put up around Brewer St. Car Park is something that I’m definitely appreciating (please let it be there next season), it’s such a fab backdrop for portraits and adds another space to work with if you’re bored of brick.

Accessories were another thing I had my eye on in the street-style arena. Hats are a strong force in the fashion world, and there were lots of baseball caps floating around, mixed with the fedora favourites. Berets were on the rise this season, so pleased.

I also had a lot of inspiration for new hairstyles now my hair has got to a length I can do things with it again. Although I’m probably not going to take the time to do the braids-with-rings thing, it was nice to see a little variation in ways to battle the british weather in this changeable time.
