Puriskin cosmetics, acuRegen & breast cancer awareness
You can take a minute to read the title, don’t worry, I’m not gonna rush you, it’s a bit of a mouthful.
But! Fashion Week brings many an event to London, which is great if you’re caught between shows and have an hour or two (or seven) to kill. One such event was the #AvantPremier showrooms, a collection of presentations from some very gorgeous, very high end boutique brands. One of which was acuRegen/Puriskin
I was lucky enough to spend quite a bit of time chatting to the lovely ladies who actually run the brand, and they’re such a darling group of people, so ready and enthused and passionate. I do love a good bit o’ passion, especially pretty much only existing on stress, coffee and propercorn show to show. (Soho is so not budget friendly sometimes.) Enthusiasm and general niceness was greatly appreciated. So was the super speedy contour lesson Hannah and I received from Karen Salandy, the makeup artist of Puriskin.
The ladies were so welcoming, each of the bloggers that chatted to them at the #AP showcase received a goody-bag with pretty much all the facial/skincare products we’d need to see us ’till Christmas: the acuRegen Goats Milk Face Cream* and Facial Cleanse*, and two boxes of the Puriskin Resurfacing Formula*, along with a pocket mirror and USB because they’re honestly too cute. They also had their make-up making mistress creating custom shades of lipstick for us, but because I got too caught up in chatting to people I hand’t seen in an age, I missed out on that. Thankfully Hannah gave me one of her custom shades – the beaut pink that she named Hannah Rose. It’s so pretty, and she’s such a babe.
A girl can never have too many pink lipsticks. Especially vanilla scented, ridiculously hydrating pink lipsticks.
So, product wise, I’ve given both the acuRegen Goats Milk Face Cream* and the Facial Cleanse* a whirl, and my super sensitive skin likes both of them. So that’s plus points right there. I find the cleanse a little harder to use, mostly because I’m at one with the balms and the oils, where a little goes a monstrously long way. It is effective at removing makeup though, and I like the fact that it’s got a lot of natural ingredients. The face cream doesn’t break me out at all, which I’ve found a lot of other moisturisor type products do.
The Puriskin Resurfacing Formula* was something that intrigued me when I first heard about it. It claims to soften hardened blemishes and smooth and refine raised and depressed surface areas on the skin. As in, all your skin. Whole body. Ethically made, suitable for vegetarians, not tested on animals, and paraben-free, Puriskin seems to be ticking all the boxes, tbh.
And (yes, there’s even more), they’ve teamed up with BosomBuddies, the breast cancer charity, to promote breast cancer awareness month – October – and donate money with each purchase of the the pink box Puriskin’s Resurfacing Formula. They’ve also teamed up with Passionate Pink whose mission it is to grant ‘little wishes’ that make big impacts on people’s lives. How fab.
Performance wise, I’ve seen a bit of an improvement in the condition of some of my smaller scars, and some smoothing out of eczema problem areas, though I haven’t really been using it long enough to form a definitive opinion yet. Though when I do, you’ll be the first to know!
Have you tried any of these products before? I love love loveee the idea of custom makeup creation, as well as acuRegen’s all natural brand angle. Let me know your thoughts, and remember that this month is breast cancer awareness month!
