sweater: romwe
jeans: new look
socks: primark
Ever had a piece of clothing that you get so much unplanned wear out of? This sweater is exactly that item for me. I picked it up in my Romwe haul, and, if you remember, was disappointed that it was a neoprene/scuba-type fabric. I never got my head around why having clothes made out of wetsuit material was (still is) such a fad, until now.
I’ve been super warm all day on one of the most confused weather episodes we’ve had for a while. Blinding sunlight, gale force winds, and snow. Bye Bye, Neoprene haters, Fii is a convert. The weather is also why I’m taking ‘arty’ indoor photos… wind + tripod + expensive camera = dicy, and my parents would probably decapitate me if my camera broke. Also I’d probably cry.
(Paired with my {new-ish} favourite high waisted, super skinny New Look jeans, and fetching pair of penguin socks. Gotta love a pair of penguin socks.)
Is there anything you’ve bought that you’ve had a ridiculous amount of wear out of, even though your initial thoughts weren’t that you’d wear it a lot?

New Look jeans are a God send, I actually love them. And neoprene is great I can't believe you've only just converted! I love it for skirts as it really keeps the shape for them (also it's really good for cleaning you can just wipe the fabric and TA-DA, rewearable but I totally didn't say that for fear of sounding a slob).Chantel Dione | fashion, beauty, music & life

Ahahah I wasn't sold with T by Alexander Wang and it's been a bit of a hate-hate thing because I JUST DIDN'T UNDERSTAND??? Wetsuit material for swimwear, yeah sure, Triangl have that down ace, but for everyday?? So niave I was.And no, no you totes didn't say that what say what where?xo

I love that jumper!! I've always been a fan of the way neoprene looks when used for normal clothes, but I feel like it could be awkward to wear and too thick… I've never owned anything made out of it. I bought this Topshop dress in Ireland two years ago on sale, thinking it was something cute (and cheap) and I found myself wearing it literally every day to the point where it makes me slightly sick to look at it now. Nevertheless, this sweatshirt looks so cute.xx Alyssavisionsofnyc.blogspot.com

It's odd because I just … can't get my head around neoprene as anything other than swimwear! If I had known it was neoprene/scuba I probably wouldn't have bought it, which would be sad aha.Oh really? That's amazing though! Especially since it wasn't expensive – surprise-wear clothes definitely sneak up on you aha. π xo

This post is great! I feel that everybody can relate to it. I've bought things and then thought my gosh why did I buy this I'll never wear, but then after a while I wear it all the time!xo, Lauren-leewww.laurenleegrace.blogspot.com

Awh thank you! It's often the things we're most reserved about that we find ourselves falling to more and more – which is really funny! A lot of the things I buy thinking 'I'll wear this ALL the time' sometimes hardly get worn…xo

Not so much something I bought myself, but a hand-me-down. A really ugly beige woolly jumper. It's super warm and I try to wear it to bed every night, until it needs washing! But I love it :PEllie,xx Elephant stories and more

Sounds so cosy! I have a few of my dad's old (totes now vintage) handmedown sweaters that I love with all my heart (Original adidas originals!). It's surprising what we take a liking to isn't it aha! xo

I always find that the things I buy spontaneously are the things I wear the most? The things I save up for, or have on a wish list, I then hardly ever wear d'oh!! I have an oversized camel coat that was an impulse buy from Asos and worn it way more than I expected! It's just so easy to throw over anything ^^ BTW love your bed cover!! :DThe Pixie Cut | Cosmopolitan βBest New Fashion Blogβ Winner 2014

I'm inclined to believe it's psychological aha! The things we really want, we want to keep precious and special for ages, and the things we buy on a whim don't matter as much? Maybe. And ahh thank you! Argos' finest, I do believe haha :)xo

I absolutely love the look of that! I'm trying to buy things I normally wouldn't buy just to break out of my usual go to look, it's quite fun to do! XLove Vicki | victoriajanex
