I am that girl with the Jeremy Scott x Adidas trainers. Two pairs. And I am so very not sorry. I have a deep rooted love for Adidas Originals, probably from spending a decent chunk of the last two years in Korea, where the brand is treated as a prised fashion possession, not as something you’d see on the backs of those that identify as ‘chav’ (I think you’d be hard pressed to find that particular subculture in Korea, actually…). It’s thrown on some of the hottest South Korean artists and it is desired. Though my affection could also come from my dad’s hand-me-down, pretty much vintage now, original Original Adidas sweater that he gave to me nigh on six years ago.
Regardless, I was so excited when Get the Label sent me these two jumpers, the dots crew neck sweatshirt* & the chile crew neck sweatshirt* – I was keen to see if the new Originals were as well made as my dads’ old sweater (they are), plus Get the Label is a brilliant place to, well, get branded items at better prices. Clue is in the name, really. Great customer service and a brilliant range of products. I think I was the only one out of my friendship circle that hadn’t shopped with them before… ace blogger, ey?
Let me make it up to you… 2 jumpers, 4 ways to style. Sound fair?
1 // Contrast

Contrast the sportswear and neutral colours with a skater skirt in a bold print – add converse/high-tops/trainers and you’re good to go!
2 // Cute with it

Dungarees and pinafores are set to be massive for SS15 – so tuck your sweater underneath for instant chic. I went with a platform shoe, but anything slightly chunky will bring this look from the 90’s straight to 2015.
3 // Sport-esque

Add a more formal cut lower half in a spring time pastel, patent shoe, and cocoon coat and you’ll take that sweater somewhere other than to the gym. Comfy but still chic.
4 // All Out

I’m being optimistic here because the weather right now is so not ok for sleeveless anything, but a muscle tank with high-waisted jeans and a sweater tied around the waist is still a cool look in my book. Plus it’s useful for any snap cold spells that the UK is so prone to having. I dug out my beloved wings to go with this, as, well, if I’m going to wear adidas, I’m gonna go all out.

It's kind of funny to think that Adidas is concerned kind of trashy in England! It's definitely considered a cool brand in the States. I love the looks with the skirts, and those wing sneakers are AMAZING!COOCOO FOR COCO
It was… commandeered, for want of a better term I think? Fashion is taking it back though, and I will wear all mine with pride! I love love loveee my wings. Deemed thoroughly impractical by everyone else but I love themxo

Ikr. so 2012. I do love them so. Ahaha taa. Kindred spirits in height and pigtails ;). And I hope it does? I'm so bored of seeing it claimed and worn by the chav army. I get they need to dress but the brand was brilliant until then 🙁 I do hope the prices stay reasonable too though… xo
