It’s my first December on this space and I thought: what better way to celebrate finally getting to month 12 of 12 was to put myself under an extra amount of pressure and stress and do this year’s Blogmas.
And in true Fii style, we might as well start off the new month with backtracking through the last month, because essays and awkward delivery times meant that I couldn’t post this yesterday, when, you know, it was still November. But! The Xmas elves have been nice to me and so I bring you my November collective hall.
Everything in this post was bought with my own money, I’m usually between a UK 6-8 in sizing, though I tend to get an 8 because boobs (girl’s, you know what I mean). All sized products in this haul are a UK size 8. Picture heavy!
First up is ASOS! Utilised their 20% student discount (yeaaaaaah) to get some much needed basics in my life.
ASOS cropped boyfriend t-shirt with roll sleeves: 3 pack – £20
I always need more tops. It’s like the sock monster in my life has given up stealing my socks and has taken to stealing my basic tops instead. Either that or I just have a chronic problem with buying them. Whichever way, I picked these up because when will you even not need plain coloured tees? Black and white go with everything, and the grey that comes with this pack (not pictured, but you can see it here) was a nice, neutral addition. Plus 3 tees for £20?
The material is a soft jersey cotton, so it’s quite light which is great for summer and winter layering.
ASOS circle skirt in jersey – £14
I actually didn’t have a black jersey circle skirt before getting this one. At least not since I’ve been out of school? So if this was a purchase that I could justify in an instant, this is it. Wardrobe staple.
The material is a really nice cotton, so the drape is good, and it’s not likely to have you doing a Marilyn Monroe any time soon. Unless the wind is really strong… The only issue that I have with this is that it’s a big on me around the waist. As in, it sits on the top of my hips rather than at the waist, which for a high waisted skirt is a bit awkward. I probably should’ve got a size 6, but I didn’t want to run the risk of it being too tight, or not fitting… oh well?
Missguided!
It’s been aaaaages since I’ve ordered anything from Missguided. But I’m really happy with what I got from them. 30% off Cyber weekend deals. So happy.
Milly fairisle knitted jumper – £19.99
I’m wearing this jumper while writing this post and oh. My. God. It is so soft. So gorgeously soft and fluffy and warm. The sleeves are super long, so they fall over my hands – perfect for snuggles and trying not to spill cocoa over myself… I’m totally loving pastels in the winter this season.
Masa Mesh & Crepe Bodycon Racer Back Dress – £22.99
I don’t buy bodycon dresses. But I decided to, for once, because I love the neckline on this one. It’s cut in at the shoulders, and I do appreciate my shoulders. It has a mesh panel just before the hemline, and I’m actually quite happy that it hits just above my knees. If this was any shorter on me I’d feel a little self conscious. There’s also a mesh panel either side of the zip in the back, which I also really like.
This almost fits like a glove. Which I couldn’t be happier about, really. It’s just a tiny bit big, which is generally the reason I go for a skater dress over a bodycon. Why can’t there be a size 7?!
Tereza contrast bandage waist crop top – £13.99
I’ve seen this on the website for ages, and finally thought why the eff not? Reduced + discount = might as well. It’s not exactly daring in colour, but the straps at the bottom are a little out of my comfort zone.
It’s all zipped up, and there’s a little tag that reminds you to unzip all the way before trying on. I’ve not tried it yet, so I don’t know what the fit is like, but I’ll keep you updated! The material is more of a crepe, and the first strap that’s attached to the black is quite stiff, as is the collar.
Wendell thin 3-pack belts – £4.99
Pastel belts! They only come in one size, but I can easily punch more holes if I need to. They seem to be pretty good quality for under £5, which, not gonna lie, I am slightly surprised about.
New Look!
Black patent chunky block heel chelsea boots – £22
Cheeky re-blogging, if you want to read about these boots, then go here!
Waterstones!
I lived in Korea for a year, and obviously tumblr is just not doing enough for me, since I saw this in Waterstones and just had to have it. It’s £14.95, and the quality is gorgeous. If you’re a uni student you can get a waterstones discount card, just an fyi – I had no idea either – so I go this at a reduced price too. If you’ve only just started reading my blog, I’m a little bit obsessed with Asian street fashion – and this book gave me a little bit of insight to Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, which I haven’t seen much of in the flesh. If you’re interested in street fashion in general, or like having these sort of books to flick through, I definitely recommend picking one up!
So that’s all that I bought in November… oops? Do you like any of the items here? I’m super excited to style the Tereza top.
Happy blogmas!
