Is it print mixing if the colours and patterns are kinda similar? Although the answer is probably no, I’m electing to choose that it does, so that I can say I’m trying out another one of the aw16 trends of the hour. Also it means I can wear a lot of my favourite items in my wardrobe together without really caring to much if the prints go or not.
Stars and bows can totally be a thing.
Anyway. Hello outfits of October! Tis the season to be spooky, and you get to hear me say things like ‘ghosting is seasonally appropriate’. It’s also the time where I try and convince myself I can layer effectively – I’m practicing – but also cheat by buying really thick mens jumpers, wearing them with tights and calling it a day.
Longline cardis are almost the same, this one is quite an old one from Boohoo. It’s served me well over the years, a lovely thick knit that you can snuggle up in and the star print is loud but not too loud. The only issue is it doesn’t have pockets, so it’s not great if you have stuff that doesn’t fit in your bag. Not that I’d ever buy a bag that doesn’t fit all my stuff day to day in…
fedora: h&m
star print cardi: boohoo
top: dorothy perkins
skort: forever21
boots: ebay
(navy) socks: h&m
The top is a 3/4 sleeve plain black one from Dorothy Perkins. It’s a fab basic that, again, I’ve had for quite a while but you can never have too many black tees. I’ve tried to find something similar in other colours, but haven’t seen anything with the same sort of neckline with the 3/4 sleeves. It’s a lil’ gem this one.
Surprise that the bow print skirt is actually a skort. I picked it up from forever21 in Korea, when the floaty looks-like-a-skirt-but-actually-shorts! was full swing. I love them; they came with a tie that I wasn’t a fan of though, which is now buried in my room somewhere. Sadly they’re also pocketless, which I think is a heinous crime for clothes, but they’re just so darn cute with their little bows.
Accessories it was cleated sole boots (apparently they’re a thing again so I can dust off all my pairs), H&M fedoras – all their headwear other than beanies are sized – and navy socks because I don’t like rules.
It’s the witchy vibes this outfit gives me, such a rebel.

Let me know what you think about the whole pattern clashing trend? Are you a fan, does this count?(even if it doesn’t, you can humour me)

I love this! It's the perfect October outfit – as a big fan of wearing all black I really like how you've paired the prints together. And anything that makes it look like you could turn someone into a rabbit or throw together a perfect potion in minutes is a winner! x
