I’ve been wanting a fluffy/fuzzy/furry crop top (or top, or jumper, or short sleeved fuzzy top…) for an absolute age, and have never been able to find one that I’ve loved enough to consider getting after I couldn’t locate the cream-white half sleeved one that sparked the obsession. I’ve yet to actually rediscover that particular gem, but I found something else instead. It’s pretty much verging on being the antithesis of what I was originally lusting after, but I think that’s why I was drawn to it.

In Boohoo’s sale section at just £4 it wasn’t exactly a hard decision to make. It looked soft and I got surprisingly versatile style me vibes from it. It’s definitely not the close-fitting cream-white fluffy goodness I’ve been scouring the internet to add to basket somewhere, but it’s lovely all the same. Change is good. It’s a fab test-run to see if I actually get wear out of a fluffy top.
It’s also given me a reason to wear the bodycon skirts I have but don’t really wear that much because I’ve never really liked the way bodycon looks on me most of the time. They sit in my wardrobe a little bit unloved and that in itself is a little bit sad. This styleNanda shark print skirt has probably seen the light of day only a few times, whereas its coordinated top has been a fun addition to many of my day-to-day looks. Having not a lot that really goes with bodycon skirts in my choice of aesthetics is also another kicker that I’m trying to rectify. So really this Alex fluffy crop is a good addition all round. Well done me.
The shoes are some New Look platforms that were a last minute panic purchase when a catwalk job I was doing during uni didn’t provide shoes for one set of it’s looks; we had to bring our own, which the organisers forgot to mention until the day of – and due to it being varsity week and everything being pretty hectic and deadline-y and just generally not fab, I ended up having to dash to new look between getting my makeup done and hair. So. Stressed. They’re very pretty shoes though, really comfortable, although I have a near identical pair from Forever21 so there’s that. I get a lot of compliments on them both.
Are you on board with fluffy/fuzzy/(faux) furry tops? If anyone also has any ideas which cream-white top I just can’t find – I think it was American Apparel – I’d love you forever. Finally, let me know what you think of this outfit 🙂
